Ricochet’s Day Out

Like Palmetto Outdoor, Ricochet is a proud member of the West Columbia community. There’s lots to do in WeCo for humans and dogs alike. We interviewed Miss Ricochet and asked her what a typical day in West Columbia looks like for her.

Stop #1: Pup Cup

There’s no better start to the day than with a pup cup. Luckily, West Columbia has lots of great coffee shops like Piecewise, Starbucks, and The Hideout.

Stop #2: Check out Bark West

Ricochet has been eying the new dog park in town, Bark West. Only the coolest canines get access to this members-only park. She plans to use her puppy-dog eyes to convince her owner to get her a membership. Click here https://westcolumbiasc.gov/dogpark/ for more info.

Stop #3: The Three Rivers

Stopping by one of the Columbia area’s three rivers is a must for Miss Ric. She frequents the West Columbia Riverwalk Park and Amphitheater. When she’s feeling particularly adventurous, she joins her dad on the canoe or kayak.

Stop #4: Dinner

Ricochet and her human work up quite the appetite after a fun day on the town. Luckily, there are plenty of dog friendly restaurants in West Columbia. Savage Craft, WECO Bottle and Biergarten, and D’s Wings all welcome dogs on their patios.

Ricochet feels strongly that both dogs and humans should get outside more, and West Columbia is the perfect city for it. Keep an eye out for a future blog post on how to responsibly include your dog in outdoor recreation.
