12,000 Year History Tour at Congaree Creek

Overview:
Can you imagine an army of 15,000 soldiers marching down old State Road in the dead of winter 1865?  This was the scene at the Battle of Congaree Creek, a battle that took place in Cayce, South Carolina.  Confederate soldiers constructed earthwork barriers along the banks of Congaree Creek, attempting to deter the approaching Federalist Army.

Transport yourself back in time through educational and engaging walking tours at the 12,000 Year History Park in Cayce, South Carolina.  These tours are great for all ages and are perfect for school group field trips.  Tours are on Saturdays and group tours can be arranged at any time.
